Ways To Be Truly Artistic

Many people I know believe that in order to be truly artistic a person has to be an artist. They must paint, draw or take brilliant photographs to have artistic talent. While These traits may make someone an artist, I believe that it takes something entirely different to be artistic. It is possible for literally anyone to live in ways that are artistic.

One of the most important aspects of being an artistic person is to be confident in yourself. Lack of self-confidence does not get anyone very far in living creatively. Look for positive qualities about yourself and dwell on those. If you think you are good at a particular activity you should practice it to become even better.

Think about the things you love to do most. I suggest that you can be artistic doing just about anything. Whether you love to sew, cook, or play soccer, you can do things in a way that is artistic and intriguing.

One of my favorite things to do is garden. I used to not think much about the way that I arranged or tended my garden. However, recently I have begun to see gardening in a whole new way. I have realized that I can arrange my flowers and plants in creative ways. I can care for them with tenderness and help them to grow to their highest potential. I have learned that being artistic is more about perspective than it is about what is actually being done.

Being artistic is all about seeing the world creatively and allowing yourself to do the things you enjoy and enjoy the things you do. Consider how you can do your favorite things in new ways. Think about how preparing a meal can become more than just cooking food. Look for ways to incorporate beauty and fine detail into your food and into your presentation. Being artistic is about going a step further than what is typical. If you love to play a sport, look for ways to play that sport with energy and grace. Almost anyone can hit a volleyball over a net, but few people can do it in a way that looks unique and graceful.

You will never be artistic in anything unless you are enjoying yourself. Don’t take life too seriously, but instead, look for ways to have fun and relax no matter what the circumstance.

Celebrities Migrating to DanielK Couture Jewelry

Daniel Koren, the founder and creative director of Daniel K, is a third generation jeweler. He personally approves every piece designed by the company, scrutinizing new designs for proper attention to detail and craftsmanship. The meticulous design process uses only the highest quality diamonds, and every stone is a minimum of a half carat, with luxurious designs exceeding ten carats. Diamond color is also critical to Daniel K engagement rings: all stones must be of D to G color grades to be placed in Daniel K designs, a level of quality that less than 1 percent of the worlds diamond supply can achieve.

Because of the unique designs, and opulent construction, Daniel K designs have attracted the attention of many celebrities. Halle Berry and Debra Messing have both been spotted with Daniel K diamond rings, while Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Mary J. Blige have adorned themselves with different styles of Daniel K earrings.

When the jewelry company first debuted engagement ring designs, their focus was almost exclusive to Asscher and emerald cuts. Today, however, a number of classic diamond shapes can be found in Daniel K engagement rings, including ovals, cushion cuts, radiant gems, and traditional round brilliant diamonds.

Many Daniel K designs clearly illustrate an art deco influence with their extravagant use of accent stones. Characteristics of these designer engagement rings include:

– “Boxter” design settings where the central gem is completely surrounded by smaller accent stones, usually baguette or round diamonds.
– Eternity ring options in various sizes and styles, including pave settings.
– Distinctive use of fancy colored diamonds, most notably yellow and pink hues.
– Solitaire rings highlighting exceptional stones with minimal embellishment for sophisticated flair.
– A limited number of three stone engagement rings.
– Pure platinum settings on all rings for beauty and strength.
– Predominantly prong, bezel, and pave settings.

These Couture jewelry pieces can only be bought from authorized dealers around the world. In each unique design, careful attention is paid to ensure the ring is meticulously crafted and superbly set before sold as part of a Daniel K collection.

In addition to stunning engagement rings, Daniel K offers a range of other diamond jewelry, including necklaces, pendants, drop and diamond stud earrings, diamond tennis bracelets, and cuff links. Danielk also launched a line of fashionable right hand diamond rings with more elaborate styles than their bridal collections. Web, mesh, scatter settings, and wide bands are all available.

Balloon Artist San Diego- How To Make A Balloon Hat

Balloon Artist San Diego Series- How to make a 2- balloon spiral hat

First of all, its a lot easier to follow the instructions in a video format rather than in a written format. For best results visit my YouTube channel under the channel name Sandiballoon.
Now, having issued that disclaimer, here are the instructions:
1.Take a 260 and inflate it all the way giving it a good burp. Its important that the balloon be mostly inflated. If youre worried about overinflating, then inflate all the way leaving only about a thumbtip size portion uninflated.
2.Twist off a bubble, and HOLD it while you wrap the balloon around head. Find the point where the bubble you are holding and the balloon wrapped around the head criss-cross. Squeeze them together and twist them together. You now have a stick hat.
3.Inflate a second balloon the same way you did for the first. Once again, fully inflate and give a good burp to release the pressure a little.
4.Twist off a small bubble on the nozzle end, and attach it to the small bubble on the hat.
5.Spiral the two sticks together. Its a bit easier if you are sitting down and use your knees hold the hat and stick at the base while you spiral them. It should look a bit like a barber shop pole. When you reach the end of the shorter balloon, squeeze and twist the two balloons together to lock them.
6.Find the center of the hat at the back (directly opposite of the sticks). Pinch the center point and twist ONE SIDE of the hat. This puts an attachment point at the back that will make the next step much easier.
7.Twist a bubble at the end of the free stick. Make sure that you hold onto the bubble until you lock it to the hat.
8.Twist the bubble into the attachment point that you made at the back of the hat. The hat should now have a sort of triangular shape.
9.Take the balloon at the top of the hat, towards the back and give it a little shape by squeezing the air out of the balloon (in that area) and slowly letting it back into that space. This will train the balloon to keep that shape. Play with putting that bend in various places and see the different shaped hats that you get.
10.Place the hat on the head, smile big and take a picture!

Protecting Celebrities From Threats

Securing the safety and security of top leaders of countries, celebrities and the rich and famous has never been easy as they are commonly the victims of terror threat, kidnapping and stalking. The nature of their jobs, the position they are into and the money attached to their names and positions pose as temptations to the public. Despite security measures, some well-planned schemes were almost successful, some others were not but a few crimes were really committed into action and proved to be successful for the perpetrators.

Managing celebrity security is the most difficult because of the nature of their profession as it require them to be always on the spotlight and be with a large crowd. They become more vulnerable to threats because of their lifestyles. Despite their status, many try to live as normal as possible like going shopping unaccompanied to the point of risking their lives. We hear over the radio, read on the papers and see on the television and the internet so much about paparazzis sticking their cameras in front of celebrities’ faces and stalking them for days just so to take a photo or two and how celebrities abhor being hounded in this obnoxious fashion. Paparazzi harassment, however, dims in comparison to kidnapping and death threats. Celebrities are always on guard to maintain their safety and of their families taking extraordinary security measures in place at all times to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Taking a kidnap threat seriously against Australian actor Russell Crowe in 2001, the FBI insisted on accompanying him to the Academy Awards just to protect him. The FBI later informed him that the threat came from the Al-Qaeda. It was so fortunate that the plot was discovered before it was really committed. What about those that were literally materialized into action?

In 1985, Julio Iglesias’ father, Julio Iglesias, Sr., was kidnapped by Basque terrorists and held captive for 2 weeks, repeatedly threatened with death but was later rescued by Spanish police unharmed on the day the ransom money was supposed to be release to the kidnappers. Although he was never harmed physically, he was badly traumatized by the incident.

Because of this, the need for security globally has increased. The forecasted expenditure allotted on security services alone, by 2012 is expected at $200 billion.

Top Five Celebrities That Could Use E-cigarettes

Celebrities are considered role models for the general public. They are gazed upon in adoration, and people take great notice of the things they do. Many people look up to those who are famous, and try to emulate the things they do in hopes of being like them. So, when celebrities do something that is not entirely positive, sadly, there will be those who follow suit and get on the bandwagon.

Such is the case when it comes to alternative cigarettes. There have always been a huge number of famous people who smoke. Perhaps its something about the limelight that inspires them to crave the calming effects of nicotine. So, in the past year, celebrities have really gotten smart and started using electronic cigarettes, and many once notorious tobacco smokers, are publically bragging about their awesome e-cigarettes! We highly applaud their efforts because theyre setting such a great example of themselves for choosing so responsibly, a product that is so much better for their health as well as the environment. In addition, we think its awesome that theyre spreading the word about smokeless cigarettes, and how great they are. Sadly, however, there are still those in the spotlight who havent gotten the smoke-free memo. Here are the top five celebs who need to can the tobacco and grab a stylish e-cig:

#5: Salma Hayak
#4: Kristin Dunst
#3: Kristin Stewart
#2: Jessica Alba
#1: President Barack Obama

So, the Hollywood starlet probably come as no surprise, but as beautiful young women whose careers are stationed upon their beauty, they should understand that tobacco smoke ages the skin with its carcinogenic agents, as well as destroys internal organs by encouraging cancer! Neither of which are sexy, or cool. The number one on the list of celebs who need to switch to smokeless would have to be President Barack Obama. Is there anyone more looked up to than our president? Imagine how popular e-cigarettes would be if he were spotted with one of the fabulous electronic cigarette starter kits?

Voiceover Artist Radio Station Imaging David Kaye

VOICEOVER ARTIST RADIO STATION IMAGING
by David Kaye

I do a lot of radio imaging.

Many people call it “Radio Station Imaging,” or as I like to call it, “Promotional Branding and Station Identification.”

In this realm of the business, it is important to make sure that you’re set up as a proper company, that you’re a business. It is not a fly-by-night deal by any stretch of the imagination.

You’d better have the equipment. You’d better be prepared to work a lot and take care of your voice, because radio stations like to use you a lot.

In a contract, traditionally you’re committed to recording a page or two a month, whatever your agent negotiates, or whatever you negotiate for yourself. They’ll stretch that out. They’ll try to get as much as they possibly can out of a page. So radio station voice imaging is little bits and pieces and stuff and there is a page and stuff.

Typically, on a Monday or Friday a bulk of stuff will come in. That’s just the nature of the business.

The business has changed over the years, especially because of the Internet. There’s not as much money flowing around as it used to be. Some of the big companies are changing hands. We all know how that’s gone. The economy is different. But stations are still spending money on station voices. They are still going out and searching for them.

When someone listens to the radio station, in their head they’re hearing the imaging person the voice as the owner. If you’re hired to be the voice of a radio station, you’re that station’s identifier. You represent that station. It is a big responsibility. It’s not just, “You know, I do the voice.” No, that’s the sound of the station. So think of yourself as the radio station’s boss.

So if you’re going to be voicing stuff for radio stations, note that, first of all, the business has changed. There are even more opportunites now because there is satellite radio. There still are revenue stream issues, but if you want to get into it there is places you can put your voice. There are Internet radio stations.

You can do a lot of marketing on your own on the Internet to radio and TV stations. But be prepared to be a business. You’re a businessman. They want to hire you. They want you available. They want you versatile, and there is a certain style you need to keep in mind.

There are perimeters to being a radio imaging voice. So that means listening to what’s out there now, listening to what’s out there in the past, and maybe developing your own style…but within the perimeters. You’re selling the station. You are the station’s voice. That’s a big responsibility.

Six Celebrities Who Owe Their Fortune To Their Divorce Attorney

The best (or best-behaved at least) divorcing couples approach the process agreeing: “You keep your stuff; I’ll keep mine.” Then there are those couples that take a different approach. Instead of an amicable handshake and a pleasant, conscious uncoupling, some soon-to-be divorcees put their divorce attorney on speed dial and don’t quit until they have way more than their fair share. But with figures this high at stake, who could blame them? Here are a few celebrities who owe their divorce attorney a nice big hug.

1. Linda Hogan Hulk Hogan’s wife received 70{393d3be131f3370840ee185976e7101c645e3e4cc6978ebfea046650c1d0204f}of their liquid assets, in addition to other property, in their 2009 settlement. Public records show that Linda got a total of $7.44 million, while Hulk Hogan, in some sort of a legal headlock, received only $2.97 million. Linda spent 26 years married to Hulk Hogan – which breaks her settlement into a little over $286,000 a year. Not a bad salary!

2. Dayanara Torres The former Miss Universe and former Mrs. Marc Anthony reportedly receives $16,500 per month in alimony and child support, but is currently seeking to raise that number to a whopping $113,000 per month.

3. Jason Hoppy Only fans of the Bravo channel may be familiar with Mr. Hoppy, who is currently divorcing his former reality TV co-star, businesswoman, sometimes-chef, and developer of the Skinny Girl brand of low-calorie cocktails, Bethenny Frankel. The two have not yet reached a settlement, but she reportedly shelled out $100,000 to pay Hoppy’s divorce attorney after a court ordered her to pay his legal fees in order to continue the case.

4. Juanita Jordan In what may be the biggest celebrity divorce pay-out to date, Michael Jordan’s ex-wife received $168 million. Somewhere her lawyer is hopefully sipping champagne on a beach after working that hard.

5. Guy Ritchie Who can forget Guy Ritchie and Madonna? Another showing for the gentlemen! Guy won more than $75 million in his split from Madonna. While he later told media that the marriage was “a soap opera,” his lawyer didn’t quit until the material girl coughed up quite a bit of cash.

6. Heather Mills In her 2008 separation from Paul McCartney, former model Heather Mills won $48 million. Thereafter, she changed her look and let the spending begin!

If you are currently battling your former spouse in a divorce and are unable to agree on numbers, let these celebrities be an inspiration to hold strong to get at least your fair piece of the pie. Stay strong and may your divorce attorney be with you.

Best Ways to Choose a Voice-Over Artist

Finding the perfect voice for your project can seem like an overwhelming task. The voice talent must be able to convey the correct emotion for the script, sound authoritative and knowledgeable, communicate and pronunciate clearly, and fit the subject and audience. Here are three steps to help you find the right voice-over actor or actress for your project.

Determine your needs.
Before you begin listening to demos and sifting through resumes, determine what exactly youll need from the talent. Do you need to find local talent that you can communicate with face to face, or can you hire someone that works remotely? Both options have their pros and cons. Some producers prefer to sit in on recording sessions so they can give notes and make suggestions. This can be especially beneficial if youre dealing with a highly technical or scientific script that contains hard to pronounce words or acronyms. However, attending recording sessions can lead to scheduling problems and giving too many notes can increase session time and costs. Many VO artists prefer to work remotely and deliver files over the Internet. Remote work is typically less expensive and has a faster turnaround, but carries the risk of getting reads you are unhappy with or that must be redone because of errors.

Consider the audience and subject.
As you begin your search for the right voice-over actress or actor think about the message you are trying to convey and the audience that will be listening. Do you need a fun and bubbly voice, or a stern and serious voice? Would a caring, tender voice send the wrong message? How about a distinguished, scholarly sounding voice? A voice-over actor that is perfect for a law enforcement training video is probably not going to be the best voice to narrate a childrens book, and differences like this should definitely be considered. Think about dialect and accent too. Sometimes the right accent or dialect can add a sense of familiarity or relateability with your particular audience, other times an accent might seem less approachable or trustworthy.

Listen to demos.
Once you have an idea of the type of voice youre seeking start listening to voice-over talent demos. Well regarded and professional VO actors and actresses will certainly have a variety of high quality material to show. Listen in to the demo material and evaluate the subtle qualities of each narrators voice. Do they speak clearly and are the easy to understand? How is the pace of their read? Is it too fast or slow? Does their pace match the subject matter?

By breaking down the process into easy steps finding the perfect voice can be easy, and having the right voice for your production will help you better connect with your audience and convey your message.

Dealing with Scam Artist Pretending To Be IRS Debt Collectors

In 2004, the IRS was given the authority to use third party debt collectors to hunt down taxes owed by delinquent taxpayers. Scam artists knew an opportunity when they saw one.

Dealing with Scam Artist Pretending To Be IRS Debt Collectors

In an effort to track down delinquent taxpayers, the federal government gave the IRS the right to hire private debt collectors in 2004. You know, those annoying people that call during dinner. The reason for this change in policy actually made some sense. With as much information as the IRS is forced to deal with, it simply took forever for the IRS to start collection actions. By using the third parties, the IRS would be able to get the process moving without taking up employee time.

As you might imagine, the private tax debt collector program sounded like a good idea, but proved to be problematic. There were two primary problems. First, the legitimate debt collectors were threatening taxpayers. Second, scam artists started posing as debt collectors to collect money from nave tax collectors or perform identify theft on them. It is this second problem that we focus on here.

The central problem with the new debt collector program is how does a taxpayer know if they are dealing with a legitimate company or a scam artist trying to rip them off? Well, the IRS has instituted a new program in an effort to clarify matters. Here are the highlights:

1. If the IRS is going to use a private debt collector to come after you, the agency will first send you a letter indicating as much. The name of the company handling the debt collection will be included in the letter. If you do not receive this letter, ignore or report any parties claiming to be debt collectors to the IRS immediately. Play along and get their contact information so the IRS can hammer them.

2. When dealing with the debt collector, you will eventually reach a point where you write a check. The check should be written to the United States Treasury. If the debt collector instructs you to write it to any other name, they are scam artists and you should report them immediately. There is no exception to this rule. All payments are made to the United States Treasury, just like if you had actually paid your taxes on time!

Scam artists are very creative when it comes to thinking up schemes for ripping people off. Understand and stick to the following guidelines and you can foil them.
